László, Magda (b Marosvásárhely, 1919). Hung. soprano. Budapest Opera 1943–6 (début as Elisabeth in Tannhäuser), then settled in Italy. Created the Mother in Il prigioniero (radio 1949, Florence 1950). Glyndebourne 1953 and 1962. Created Cressida in Troilus and Cressida, CG 1954.
