Kunst, Jos, Dutch composer and teacher; b. Roer-mond, Jan. 3, 1936; d. Jan. 18, 1996. He studied with Joep Straesser in Utrecht (1963–66) and with Ton de Leeuw at the Amsterdam Cons. (1965–70), where he subsequently taught. His works, which utilized a variety of modernistic techniques, included orch. music, chamber pieces, and tape scores.
