Kronold, Hans

Kronold, Hans, Polish-American cellist and composer, brother of Selma Kronold; b. Krakow, July 3, 1872; d. N.Y., Jan. 10, 1922. He studied in Leipzig and Berlin, then went to the U.S. at the age of 14, where he joined the orch. of the Metropolitan Opera. He then played in the N.Y. Sym. Orch. and also taught at the N.Y. Coll. of Music. He publ. cello pieces and songs.
