Koering, René

Koering, René, French composer; b. Andlau, May 27, 1940. He studied piano and oboe in Strasbourg, worked with Boulez (1960), and attended the summer course in new music given by Maderna in Darmstadt. From 1974 he worked for France Musique. In 1990 he became general director of lOrchestre Philharmonique de Montpellier Languedoc-Roussillon. He was made a Chevalier dans lOrdre de la Légion d’honneur and a member of lOrdre National du Mérite.
