Horneman, Johan Ole Emil
Horneman, Johan Ole Emil, Danish publisher and composer, father of Christian Frederik Emil Horneman; b. Copenhagen, May 13, 1809; d. there, May 29, 1870. He composed music in a popular vein, and in 1846 established a publishing firm with Emil Ersle v. His collection of piano pieces, Nordiske songe uden tekst (Nordic Songs without Text), enjoyed some popularity. He further publ, a piano manual, Ny praktisk Piano-forteskole.
