Ford, Thomas (b c.1580; d Westminster, 1648). Eng. composer and lutenist. Musician to Prince Henry, 1611; later one of lutes and voices in service of Prince Charles (later King Charles I), with whom he remained until 1642. His 19 anthems were pubd. 1614 and his Musicke of Sundrie Kindes (for voices and bass viols) in 1607.
