Dachs, Joseph
Dachs, Joseph , Austrian pianist and pedagogue; b. Regensburg, Sept. 30, 1825; d. Vienna, June 6, 1896. He studied in Vienna with Czerny and Sechter. In 1861 was appointed prof. of piano at the Vienna Cons. Dachs had numerous distinguished pupils, among them Vladimir de Pachmann, Laura Rappoldi, and Isabelle Vengerova. He also gave concerts that were well received in Vienna.
