Colin, Pierre
Colin, Pierre, French composer and organist who flourished in the mid-16th century. He was master of the choirboys (c. 1539–61) and organist (1562–65?) at St. Lazarus Cathedral in Autun. He was a fine composer of sacred works, including 36 particularly notable motets. Other works include 26 masses, ten Magnificats, and some chansons.
