Barberüs, Melchiore de
Barberüs, Melchiore de, Italian lutenist and composer who flourished in Padua in the mid-16th century. He brought out three vols, of pieces for Lute or Guitar (1546, 1549), which contains ricercares, fantasias, canzonas, and dances, as well as arrangements of pieces by Josquin and Févin.
