Lea's boyfriend leaves her for her mother. Her father is determined to win back his wife by means of a hypnotist. Her chubby sister is obsessed with a celebrated author who somehow falls for Lea. When the hypnotist decides he wants Lea he turns the author into a woman-hater. Humorous look at dysfunctional families and the mysteries of love through a plot that is a bit hard to follow.
