The Tuxedo ★½ 2002 (PG-13)

After an unusual opening non sequiter, movie pits kickmaster Chan against the evil Banning (Coster) out to dehydrate the world via a deadly ingredient in the water supply. Mild mannered taxi driver Jimmy (Chan) takes a job chauffeuring Clark Devlin (Isaacs), a wealthy spy with a secret weapon: the title's nearmagical tuxedo that turns the wearer into a martial arts fighting machine. After Devlin's injured, Jimmy dons the supersuit and joins agent Del (Hewitt) in the fight against Banning. Chan is his usual amiable, entertaining self even against this extremely silly backdrop of a movie. Highlight is Chan's stint as a standin for soul man James Brown. 98m/C VHS, DVD .
