Trial and Error ★★½ 1992
Peter Hudson (Matheson) is an overly zealous prosecutor who successfully convicts a small time criminal of murder, sending him to death row. This launches Hudson's political career and five years later he's about to be nominated for Lieutenant Governor, just as the felon's execution draws near. Suddenly, new evidence points to the man's innocence, but if Hudson investigates it could ruin his political future. But he's got a bigger problem—the real killer decides to make Hudson's wife his next victim. 91m/C VHS . Tim Matheson, Helen Shaver, Sean McCann, Eugene Clark; D: Mark Sobel.
