SHEHADI, Fadlou. American (born Lebanon), b. 1926. Genres: Philosophy. Career: Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, assistant instructor in Arabic, 1950-51; Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, assistant professor, 1957- 63, associate professor, 1963-72, professor of philosophy, beginning in 1972, now professor emeritus, department head, 1963-68, 1977-81, director of the program Philosophy and Contemporary Issues, 1979-81, director of Junior Year in France Program, 1984-85, 1991-92, and past chairperson of Princeton University Concerts Committee; Joy in Singing, NYC, president of the board; performed with Montreal Opera Company, Montreal Elgar Choir, and on Canadian television; performed with symphony and chamber orchestras and in recitals in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Lebanon.
