The Omen 1976
The Omen ★★½ Birthmark 1976 (R)
American diplomat's family adopts a young boy who always seems to be around when bizarre and inexplicable deaths occur. Of course, what else would you expect of Satan's son? The shock and gore prevalent in “The Exorcist” is replaced with more suspense and believable effects. Well-done horror film doesn't insult the viewer's intelligence. Followed by three sequels: “Damien: Omen 2,” “The Final Conflict,” and “Omen 4.” 111m/ C VHS, DVD .
