Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous ★½ 2005 (PG-13)

It took five years for Bullock to make this contrived sequel and you have to wonder why she bothered. Set a few weeks after the first flick, Gracie Hart has become such a celebrity that she can no longer work undercover and has been reassigned as the public face of the FBI. Gracie, accompanied by her flamboyant personal stylist Joel (Bader), even has her own FBI bodyguard, Sam Fuller (King), who has anger management issues. When the current Miss United States (Burns), and pageant director Stan (Shatner) are kidnapped, Gracie and her entourage head for Vegas where the agent is expected to be the bureau spokesperson. But by golly, Gracie wants to rescue Heather since she's her only friend. Many slapstick shenanigans follow in this trifling female buddy comedy. 115m/C DVD .
