I Married a Witch ★★★ 1942

Jennifer (Lake) and her father Daniel (Kellaway) are burned at the stake during the Salem witch trials but not before cursing their persecutors, the Wooley family, vowing that no male of the line will ever find happiness. When Jennifer and Daniel are accidentally freed from their burial place centuries later, Jennifer locates Wallace Wooley (March) and tries to get him to fall in love with her so that she can remain on the mortal plane.
