HENDRY, Joy (McLaggan). Scottish, b. 1953. Career: Register House, Edinburgh, Scotland, civil servant, 1974-75; Knox Academy, Haddington, Scotland, teacher of English, 1977-84; writer, 1984-. Chapman: Scotland's Quality Literary Magazine, editor, 1972-; Scottish Poetry Library, deputy convener; Scottish Actors Studio, chair, 1993-2000; The Scotsman, radio critic, 1988-97; broadcaster and presenter of radio programs.
