The Bedroom Window
The Bedroom Window ★★½ 1987 (R)
Guttenberg is having an illicit affair with his boss' wife (Huppert), who witnesses an assault on another woman (McGovern) from the bedroom window. To keep the affair secret Guttenberg reports the crime, but since it is secondhand, the account is flawed and he becomes a suspect. Semitight thriller reminiscent of Hitchcock mysteries isn't always believable, but is otherwise interesting. 113m/C VHS, DVD . Steve Guttenberg, Elizabeth McGovern, Isabelle Huppert, Wallace Shawn, Paul Shenar, Carl Lumbly, Frederick Coffin, Brad Greenquist; D: Curtis Hanson; W: Curtis Hanson; C: Gilbert Taylor; M: Patrick Gleeson, Michael Shrieve, Felix Mendelessohn.
