An American Tail: Fievel Goes West ★★ 1991 (G)

Fievel and the Mousekewitz family continue their pursuit of the American dream by heading West, where the intrepid mouse seeks to become a famous lawman while his sister looks to make it big as a dance hall singer. The score is performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. Unfortunately released at the same time as “Beauty and the Beast,” “Fievel Goes West” suffers from comparison. Worthwhile viewing for the whole family, but it won't ever reach the heights of “B&B.” The laser edition is letterboxed and features chapter stops. 75m/C VHS, DVD. D: Phil Nibbelink, Simon Wells; W: Flint Dille; M: James Horner; V: John Cleese, Dom DeLuise, Phillip Glasser, Amy Irving, Jon Lovitz, Catherine Cavadini, Nehemiah Persoff, Erica Yohn, James Stewart.
