English novelist. Name variations: (pseudonym) Stephen Yorke. Born in Whitby, Yorkshire, on December 13, 1840; died in Whitby on April 9, 1891.
An English novelist, Mary Linskill wrote Tales of the North Riding which was published in Good Words in 1871. She also wrote short stories and four novels, including Clevedale (1876) and The Haven under the Hill (1886).
