Princess of Orange . Born Frederica Sophia Wilhelmine on August 7, 1751, in Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany; died on June 9, 1820; daughter of Augustus William (brother of Frederick II the Great) and Louise of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel (1722–1780); married William V (1748–1806), prince of Orange (r. 1751–1795, though he succeeded to the throne in 1751 did not actually begin ruling until 1766, deposed), on October 4, 1767; children: Frederica Louise (1770–1819); William I (1772–1843), king of the Netherlands (r. 1813–1840); Frederick (1774–1799).
