New Zealand tribal leader. Born c. 1848 or 1849, on Chatham Islands, New Zealand; died on Mar 26, 1929; dau. of Raniera and Rongorongo; m. Tahana Takiroa Coffee (Kawhe); children: 1 adopted daughter.
Born during her peoples' thwarted attempt to return to ancestral lands, settled at Pukerauhe, where she became leader of her people and fostered several children.
