Shen Rong (1935–)

Chinese novelist. Born 1935 in China.

Studied Russian at Beijing Foreign Languages Institute; taught briefly in middle school; novellas, which explore social issues and lives of modern Chinese women, include Everlasting Spring (1979), At Middle Age (1980), Yang Weiwei and Sartre (1984), and Divorce? Why Bother? (1989).
