New Zealand tribal leader. Born Nga-kahu-whero, in late 18th century, at Waihou, New Zealand; dau. of Kahi and Kaimanu; m. Muriwhenua; children: 3.
Inherited tribal authority over land and people of Papanui, which entitled her to a share of all land sales, including royalties from felling of trees.
