Scottish poet. Born 1759 in Dumfriesshire, Scotland; died 1813; m. John Richmond, 1792.
Worked as servant to a patron of Robert Burns and later at dairy of Loudun Castle where an employer showed some of her poems to Burns; wrote in Gaelic and English but did not use accepted pronunciations; published The Poetical Works of Janet Little (1792).
