Made London stage debut in The Two Hunchbacks (1910), followed by numerous plays, including Pomander Walk, L'Aiglon, Nurse Benson, Green Pastures and Piccadilly, Too Many Cooks and Damaged Goods; made Broadway debut in Pygmalion (1945); other NY plays include The First Mrs. Frazer, Gayden, The Living Room, The Entertainer and Tea Party.
