Member of the French Greens' National Council, then Executive Committee (1986–89), then national spokesperson (1994–99); co-founded Eurorégionale verte (1989); representing Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance, elected to 3rd and 5th European Parliament (EP, 1990–94, 1999–2004); served as vice-president of the EP (1991–94).
