Isabella (d. 1282)

Queen of Beirut. Died in 1282; eldest daughter of John II of Beirut (d. 1264) and Alice de la Roche of Athens; married Hugh II (d. 1267), child-king ofCyprus (r. 1253–1267); married Hamo L'Étranger (Edmund the Foreigner) of England (soon died); married Nicholas L'Aleman; married William Barlais.

As queen of Beirut, Isabella reigned from 1264 to 1282. Her first husband died before the marriage could be consummated; her second husband died soon after the wedding; he had arranged, however, that she be under the protection of Sultan Baibar.
