Scottish civil engineer. Name variations: Molly Fergusson. Born Mary Isolen Fergusson, April 28, 1914, in Scotland; died Nov 30, 1997.
The 1st woman fellow of Institution of Civil Engineers, studied civil engineering at University of Edinburgh (1933); rose from indentured employee to senior partner and civil engineer at Blythe and Blythe, a firm in Edinburgh (1948–78); after retirement (1978), encouraged women to become engineers and funded students. Made Officer of the Order of the British Empire (1979).
