Born in 1161; died in Nantes, Anjou, France, on September 5, 1201, while giving birth to twins; daughter of Conan IV, duke of Brittany, and Margaret of Huntingdon (c. 1140–1121); married Geoffrey Plantagenet, duke of Brittany, in July 1181; married Ranulf de Blondville, 4th earl of Chester, in 1187 (divorced 1199); married Guy, viscount of Thouars, in 1199; children: (first marriage) Eleanor, the Maid of Brittany (1184–1241); Matilda (1185–1186); Arthur, duke of Brittany (1187–1203); (third marriage) twins Alice (1201–1221), duchess of Brittany, and Katherine de Thouars (b. 1201, who married Andrew de Vitre of Brittany).
