Ageneta Wahlstrom
Swedish biochemist who, with Lars Terenius, performed important research into the chemistry of the brain. Their research had two important effects: it lead to a better understanding of mental illness and contributed toward the design of improved drugs for the purpose of halting or correcting mental illness. Some of the techniques pioneered by Wahlstrom and Terenius have also proven valuable in other studies of the brain and its interaction with various compounds.
