Teloschistales (subdivision Ascomycotina) An order of lichenized and lichenicolous fungi; in lichenized members the thallus may be crustose, foliose, or fruticose, and is typically yellow, orange, or red. There are several genera, found mostly in nitrogen-rich habitats, particularly in warm, dry regions.
