Pseudomyrmecinae (suborder Apocrita, family Formicidae) Subfamily of slender, arboreal ants, which have two petiolar nodes, a sting, and well-developed eyes. There are about 200 species. They are restricted to the tropics, and inhabit hollow stems and twigs.
