concordant
1. Applied to an igneous intrusion that has been emplaced parallel with the structure (bedding, foliation, etc.) of the invaded country rock. Sills are examples of concordant intrusions.

2. Applied to a relationship in which adjacent strata are structurally concurrent with, or parallel to, each other. Compare DISCORDANT. Contrast CONFORMABLE.
