Agathis
Agathis (kauri, kauri pines, Manila copal; family Araucariaceae) A genus of large, coniferous trees that have broad, elliptical leaves; valuable, pale, light timber; and resin (Manila copal) in the bark. There are 13 known species, found in tropical to warm temperate forests. They are native from Malesia to Queensland and New Zealand. See also DAMMAR.
