Tvaṣṭṛ. The craftsman of the gods in Hinduism. The ability to create new forms from formless stone, wood, etc., is a manifestation of divine power embodied in Tvaṣṭṛ (Atharva Veda 12. 3. 33), and only animals with testicles (i.e. begetters) can be offered to him in sacrifice. He is one of the Ādityas.
