O'Brien, Lucius Richard
Lucius Richard O'Brien, 1832–99, Canadian landscape painter. He worked in an architect's office and later became an engineer. He is noted for his watercolor landscapes, especially of Rocky Mt. scenery. A founder of the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts, he was its first president (1880–90).
