Lanús
Lanús (länōōs´), city (1991 pop. 466,755), Buenos Aires prov., E Argentina. An administrative center in the Greater Buenos Aires area, it is named for Anacarsis Lanús, a local landowner, merchant, and politician of the 19th cent. Manufactures include textiles, paper, wire, and leather products.
