Hildebrandt Perez Treviño, César (1948–)

César Hildebrandt, born in Lima, September 7, 1948, is a Peruvian journalist who started writing for tabloids in the late 1960s. Known for his acid style, he became an avatar of accuracy in investigative journalism in the 1980s. In his print journalism career Hildebrandt has been an interviewer for Caretas magazine and the editor of and Testimonio magazines and the Liberación newspaper. He served as anchor and director of political television programs on all Peruvian channels (except for state TV), including En Persona, Enlace con Hildebrandt, and Hoy con Hildebrandt, tending to quit programs after disagreements with station owners.
