Eleanor Cross
Eleanor Cross any of the stone crosses erected by Edward I to mark the stopping places of the cortège that brought the body of his queen, Eleanor of Castile (1246–90), from Nottinghamshire to London in 1290. Three of the twelve crosses survive.
