Producer, writer, and director. Previously worked as a television news reporter, Madison, WI, and at Leo Burnett Advertising, Chicago, IL, 1987–90.

Humanitas Prize, 30 minute category, Television Producer of the Year Award in Episodic (with others), PGA Golden Laurel Awards, 1996, for Frasier; Emmy Award nomination, outstanding writing for a comedy series, 1999, and Golden Globe Award nominations, for Just Shoot Me; Ursa Major Award, 2002, for Greg the Bunny; Emmy Award nomination, for The Larry Sanders Show; People's Choice Award, best new comedy, for Stark Raving Mad; also won a CableACE Award and Writer's Guild nomination.
