Description: State and locally supported, 2-year, coed. Part of Los Angeles Community College District System. Awards transfer associate and terminal associate degrees. Founded 1969. Setting: 69-acre urban campus with easy access to Los Angeles. Total enrollment: 9,800. Students come from 20 states and territories, 76% 25 or older. Core. Calendar: semesters. Academic remediation for entering students, ESL program, services for LD students, advanced placement, honors program, summer session for credit, part-time degree program, adult/continuing education programs, co-op programs. ROTC: Army (c), Air Force (c).
