Description:

Independent Roman Catholic, comprehensive, coed. Awards associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Founded 1923. Setting: 240-acre small town campus with easy access to Kansas City. Endowment: $6.4 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $4880 per student. Total enrollment: 824. Faculty: 97 (43 full-time, 54 part-time). Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 12:1. 517 applied, 75% were admitted. Full-time: 397 students, 51% women, 49% men. Part-time: 140 students, 71% women, 29% men. Students come from 28 states and territories, 5 other countries, 36% from out-of-state, 0.2% Native American, 7% Hispanic, 13% black, 2% Asian American or Pacific Islander, 2% international, 20% 25 or older, 42% live on campus. Application fee: $25. Comprehensive fee: $20,130 includes full-time tuition ($14,400), mandatory fees ($190), and college room and board ($5540). College room only: $2400. Room and board charges vary according to student level. Part-time tuition: $270 per credit. Part-time mandatory fees: $65 per term. Part-time tuition and fees vary according to class time and course load.

Collegiate Environment:

Leavenworth is 26 miles northwest of Kansas City, which contributes to the economic and recreational interest of the community.
