Description: Independent Roman Catholic, comprehensive, coed. Awards bachelor's and master's degrees. Founded 1853. Setting: 100-acre small town campus. Endowment: $34.9 million. Research spending 2002-03: $3400. Educational spending 2002-03: $5700 per student. Total enrollment: 4,969. Faculty: 265 (222 full-time, 43 part-time). Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 16:1. 2,281 applied, 42% were admitted. Students come from 12 provinces and territories, 25 other countries, 41% from out-of province, 7% 25 or older, 43% live on campus. Retention: 88% of 2003 full-time freshmen returned.
