key to disk
key to disk An obsolete data entry system in which the data entered by a number of keyboard operators was accumulated on a magnetic disk. The data was often then verified. The small computer routing the data from the operator to the correct file on the disk could also be used to carry out data validation and produce statistics on operator productivity.
