EDTA
EDTA Ethylene diamine tetra‐acetic acid, a compound that forms stable chemical complexes with metal ions (i.e. a chelating agent). Also called versene, sequestrol, and sequestrene. It can be used both to remove metal ions from a solution (or at least to remove them from activity) and also to add metal ions, for example in plant fertilizers.
