My novel A Family Matter is a modern treatment of the Phaedra myth and it is set in the eastern Kentucky coal fields. The past-life characters of my first novel, A Still Point in Time, are based upon the nineteenth-century artist and poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti and his beloved model/lover/wife Elizabeth Siddal."
