Zarebski (Zarembski), Juliusz
Zarebski (Zarembski), Juliusz, Polish pianist and composer; b. Zhitomir, Feb. 28,1854; d. there, Sept. 15,1885. He studied piano with Dachs and composition with Krenn at the Vienna Cons., graduating with gold medals in both in 1872, attended classes at the St. Petersburg Cons. (1873), and completed his training with Liszt in Rome (1874). He toured as a virtuoso from 1874, and was prof, of piano at the Brussels Cons, (from 1880). He wrote a distinguished Piano Quintet and several effective piano pieces.
