Weathers, Felicia

Weathers, Felicia, black American soprano; b. St. Louis, Aug. 13, 1937. She took vocal lessons at the Ind. Univ. School of Music in Bloomington with St. Leger, Kullman, and Manski. She made her operatic debut in Zürich in 1961. In 1963 she sang at the Hamburg State Opera and subsequently was a regular member there (1966-70). In 1965 she made her Metropolitan Opera debut in N.Y.; also sang at Covent Garden in London in 1970.
