Sikorski, Tomasz

Sikorski, Tomasz, Polish composer and pianist, son of Kazimierz Sikorski; b. Warsaw, May 19, 1939; d. there, Nov. 13, 1988. He studied piano with Drzewiecki and composition with his father at the Warsaw Cons.; then took lessons with Boulanger in Paris. As a pianist, he emphasized new music in his programs. His own compositions were in an advanced idiom.
